At the Women’s Community Y Child Development Center, we look forward to getting to know your child. Our Leavenworth center is licensed for potty trained children from ages 2 ½ through 12 and is open from 6:30 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. Monday through Friday. We offer preschool, pre-K, child care and school-age care, both full-time and part-time.
We address each child individually, and our mission is to build confidence and a love of learning, giving each student a solid foundation on which to go to school, ready to succeed.
Our longtime teachers and staff are dedicated to helping each child discover his or her unique potential – academically, socially, and interpersonally.
The Women’s Community Y was invited to participate in part of a Research Pilot Program from the University of Virginia called My Teaching Partner to develop curriculum for Math and Science programs. The Y was chosen to participate in Making the Most of the Classroom Interactions- by the Metropolitan Council on Early Learning.
We invite you to learn more about us and to visit our classrooms soon. Applications for enrollment are accepted at any time.
